How many passengers does the midibus hold?

Our midibus seats 28 to 33 and has an enclosed luggage hold. For fewer, the 21-25 Coaster or the 14-seat HiAce is cheaper; above 33 we recommend a coach.

We are 18 people — which one?

The Coaster. The newer model has 21 seats, so 18 people sit comfortably. The HiAce is too small for that number, and the midibus would leave empty seats you are paying for, unless you have suitcases you want in an enclosed hold. From 22 to 25 people the Coaster gets there with fold-down aisle seats, and we tell you so up front.

Can we use it for an airport transfer?

Yes. At the airport the luggage decides the size as much as the headcount: the HiAce has no hold, so with suitcases it suits a small group only, and a larger group with its bags takes a Coaster or a midibus. Send us the number of people and bags and the flight number, and we tell you before booking which size works and where the luggage will go.

Where does the luggage go in the Coaster and the midibus?

On the Coaster, bags go on a roof rack under a net: secure, but open to dust and rain, and there is no enclosed hold. The midibus is the first size with an enclosed hold underneath, and some units also have a roof rack. If you want your bags locked away rather than on the roof, the midibus is the smallest option, even for a small group.

How much luggage does the HiAce take?

The HiAce has no luggage hold and usually no roof rack, so the bags ride inside with the passengers, and with full-size suitcases it carries fewer people than it has seats. A full 14 travel with hand luggage only. Tell us the number of bags and we size the vehicle: with more bags, take the Coaster (roof rack under a net) or the midibus (enclosed hold).

Can a company book one monthly?

Yes — all three sizes run on monthly contracts for small teams and daily movement between offices.

Below a full coach there are three sizes, and the luggage decides between them as much as the headcount: the Toyota HiAce seats 13-14 and the bags ride inside with the passengers; the Toyota Coaster seats 21-25 with the bags on a roof rack under a net; and the 28-33 seat midibus is the first size with an enclosed luggage hold underneath.

Not every group needs a 50-seat coach, and up to 33 people these three save you paying for a half-empty one. All come with a professional driver and full air conditioning, and they reach streets a full coach cannot. HiAce, Coaster or midibus?

Headcount decides. Up to 14, the HiAce is clearly the cheapest and goes anywhere. From 15 to 25, the Coaster — the size that closes the gap without running two HiAces. From 26 to 33, the midibus, the first size with an enclosed luggage hold.

There is a second advantage that never shows on a quote: all three reach places a full coach cannot — hotels on narrow streets, residential areas, villages, and congested airport ranks.

The common mistake is two small vehicles instead of one larger: two drivers, two vehicles, and they never arrive together. If the number falls between two sizes, the larger is more comfortable and usually cheaper.
