Church Trips and Monastery Visits
Madar Transport hires churches a whole vehicle with its driver for a monastery visit, a retreat or a youth conference — from Mansoura, Dakahlia and the Delta to Wadi El Natrun, the Red Sea monasteries or any monastery in Egypt — from a 14-seat HiAce to a 50-seat coach, with the contract and the invoice in the church's name. Send the headcount, bags, monastery and date on WhatsApp and we send you a quote within the day.
We rent the whole vehicle with its driver — not tickets or single seats. The smallest we run seats 14.
A church trip has its own rhythm: one day that starts early, a group that knows each other, and a stop or two on the way. What matters is that the vehicle is there on time in the morning, the driver knows the road to the monastery, and the return is comfortable after a long day.
We work with churches in Mansoura, Dakahlia, the Delta and across Egypt on monastery trips — Wadi El Natrun, St. Bishoy, St. Anthony and St. Paul on the Red Sea, Dronka — and on retreats and youth conferences running several days.
The contract is with the church or the service responsible for the trip, and we can invoice in its name.
- A whole vehicle for the group — 14 to 50 seats
- Drivers who know the monastery roads and where to wait
- Waiting within the day's agreed hours is included in the price
- Multi-day retreats and conferences with the same vehicle and driver
- An invoice in the church's or the service's name
- Departures from Mansoura, Dakahlia and the Delta, or any other governorate

Who this service is for
Monastery trips
A day to Wadi El Natrun, or an early start or an overnight for the Red Sea monasteries — and the driver stays with you until the return, within the day's agreed hours.
Retreats and youth conferences
Several days with the same vehicle and the same driver, staying with you for the daily movements inside the programme.
Sunday schools and church ministries
A day out for children or young people — and every child counts as a seat; no children on laps.
Churches in the districts and villages
Departure from the church itself in any district or village of Dakahlia and the Delta, or collection from more than one point on the way.
Which vehicle for a church trip — by headcount and bags
Count everyone travelling, children and leaders included — every child counts as a seat — and take the smallest vehicle that holds that number: up to 14 a HiAce, 15 to 25 a Coaster, 26 to 33 a midibus, and 34 to 50 a coach. If the number falls between two sizes, one larger vehicle is more comfortable and usually cheaper than two small ones, and the whole group reaches the monastery together.
Then the bags. A day trip to a monastery usually means hand luggage only, but on a retreat or a conference with nights away, the bags can decide the size:
HiAce: no luggage hold, so the bags ride inside with the passengers and take up their space — tell us the bag count and we size the vehicle.
Coaster: bags on the roof under a net — secure, but open to dust and rain.
Midibus and coach: an enclosed hold underneath, and the midibus is the smallest choice if you want the bags locked away.
Send us the headcount, the bags, the monastery and the date, and we tell you before booking which size fits and where the luggage will go.
Every booking includes
- A professional driver who knows Egyptian roads
- Full air conditioning throughout
- Passenger insurance
- The driver's name and number sent to you before the trip
- 24/7 support before and during the journey
