Bus Rental Prices in Egypt

There is no flat rate for bus rental, and anyone quoting a figure before knowing your trip is guessing. This page explains exactly what moves the number, so you can compare offers knowing what you are looking at.

We rent the whole vehicle with its driver — not tickets or single seats. The smallest we run seats 14.

Bus rental in Egypt is not a fixed tariff — it is calculated per trip. A 50-seat coach running Cairo to Hurghada over three days is nothing like a 14-seat HiAce doing an airport transfer inside Cairo, and forcing both under one headline figure misleads more than it helps.

That is why we ask for the trip details first and come back with a clear, specific quote that states what is included and what is not. It protects you from surprises later.

What determines the price

01Vehicle type and capacity

The price is for the whole vehicle, not per person: within a vehicle's capacity, the headcount does not change it. What decides the size is the number of people (every child takes a seat) and the number of bags together. More seats means a higher total but a lower cost per passenger — for a group of 45, a single coach works out far cheaper than running four small vehicles.

02Distance and route

Total kilometres is the single largest factor. A city run is not an intercity run, and long desert routes price differently from short motorway hops.

03Trip duration

One day, several days, or a monthly contract? A day trip is priced one way; a monthly staff-transport contract carries a clearly lower unit rate because the work is regular and committed.

04Return the same day, or another day?

A same-day return, with the vehicle waiting for you, is the cheapest round trip. A return on a different day is priced as two separate transfers, because the vehicle goes back and comes again. If the vehicle stays overnight with you, each night is its own item, even if it does not move. There is no overnight charge if you return to the same city each night.

05Hours in the day

A day's hire covers an agreed number of hours, written into the quote, and waiting within those hours is included. Extra hours are charged, so agree the start and finish times up front. If the group runs late, the extra time is charged too, and we say so before you book.

06Timing and season

Night runs and busy seasons — holidays, school breaks, Umrah and Hajj periods — put pressure on the fleet, and that shows up in both price and availability. Multi-day trips and foreign groups are typically booked weeks ahead, so booking early matters.

07Number of stops

A route with one assembly point costs less than one calling at ten. On staff transport in particular, fewer stops cut journey time and cost together.

08Multi-day trips

Beyond a single day, we ask who covers the driver's accommodation and meals. If you provide them, the overnight cost drops. That line is written into the quote from the start, rather than showing up later as a vague extra charge.

Three examples from Mansoura

Not prices — this is how a quote is built, on trips we run often. In each, the whole vehicle is priced, never per person.

A day trip to Gamasa — 30 people

Size: a 28-33 seat midibus. One day, leaving in the morning and back before sunset, about an hour each way. A same-day return, with the driver staying with you for the agreed hours of the day. What moves the price here: the distance, the hours, and whether the day is a summer Friday.

12 people with suitcases to Cairo Airport

Size: the bags decide it. A HiAce has no luggage hold, so suitcases ride inside with the passengers; with full-size suitcases the usual fit is a Coaster if roof carriage under a net suits you, or a 28-33 seat midibus with an enclosed hold. One way, about two and a half hours from Mansoura, with departure planned around the flight time and a safety margin. What moves the price: the number of bags, one way or return, and whether the group is collected from more than one district.

A three-day conference in Mansoura

Vehicles dedicated to the conference for its duration, on a written operating schedule: airport arrivals in waves, and a hotel-to-venue shuttle morning and afternoon. The day is charged per vehicle, not per trip. What moves the price: how many vehicles, their sizes and the number of days.
